Translations make it possible for visitors to see your media information in different languages. You can have one or multiple languages on your media kits as an option for international visitors. Translations are set manually by the user.

To get started with translations click on settings in your organization dashboard.

Your default language is set when you sign up on Ocast.

There is a field called "additional languages" that you can add to your organization. Click on the languages that you would like to add and don't forget to save these changes.

Once this is done, you will be able to toggle between the default language and the additional language. This can be done in the bottom left corner of the dashboard. If you toggle to the additional language, you will now be able to translate all content of your dashboard.

You will also notice that most of your content (products, ad specs, sources, etc.) are now marked with language icons. The grey icon means that the content is not yet translated in this language, but a blue mark means that this specific language has content.

To translate - you need to access the different parts of your dashboard. You can, for example, start by translating your products.

Click on the product that you would like to translate. Make sure to switch to the correct language in your dashboard!

Next up, you will enter the product in translation mode. Enter your translation. Once saved, this product is now translated.

You can choose to auto-translate your content, but always make sure the translation is correct.

Translating your content can be managed through the different tabs in the left menu of the dashboard.

Pro tip - Start by adding all your media information for your default language. Once done, start translating your content to your additional language by working your way from top to bottom in your dashboard!

Filtering translations

In order to keep track of what you have translated or not, you can use the translation filter.

You can also choose to filter by media kits if you would like to translate one media kit at a time.

How to translate folders and contact departments

Since folders (for both products and brands) and contact departments are created and edited through your Ocast profile, you cannot translate the titles of these in you dashboard.

Click on the pen icon on your Ocast profile, to edit and translate:
